VetCu’s groundbreaking copper wound dressings bring the accelerated healing power of copper to the veterinary market for the first time.
VetCu’s groundbreaking copper wound dressings bring the accelerated healing power of copper to the veterinary market for the first time.
VetCu is the world’s first copper-impregnated wound dressing product for animals.
Leveraging copper’s potent healing and antimicrobial properties, VetCu provides a unique proposition to address animal wounds. The copper-based wound dressings follow the successful commercialization of copper compounds impregnation into various fabrics and polymers after 15 years of research and are protected by multiple patents worldwide.
The Power Of Copper
Copper is an essential nutrient mineral with advanced healing properties and broad-spectrum potent antimicrobial efficacy.
Proprietary Technology
Copper microparticles are embedded into fibers, substrates, and polymers very early during production with no significant changes to the manufacturing process.
Medical Benefits
Used for wound management, health, and wellness purposes for thousands of years, Copper is safe, biocompatible, non-sensitizing, and non-irritating to the skin. Copper stimulates the production of collagen and other key proteins, stabilizes skin layers, and improves elasticity.
RANGE OF PRODUCTS
VetCu dressings are single-use wound dressings with an internal absorbent layer and one or two external non-woven, non-adherent layers. All layers are impregnated with copper oxide particles. The dressings are non-irritant, non-sensitizing, and are available in 7 configurations, with or without an adhesive contour.
AREAS OF USE
VetCu dressings are easy to apply and remove and are suitable for a wide variety of wounds:
- Front & Hind Limbs Wounds
- Head, Neck, Thorax & Abdominal Wounds
- Pressure Ulcers
- First and Second-Degree Burns (Chemical, Thermal, etc.)
- Surgical Wounds
- Venous and arterial ulcers
BENEFITS
- Strong protection against a broad spectrum of wound pathogens
- Cost-effective, compared to alternatives on the market
- Efficient adhering and pain-free removal
- Dressings can be trimmed to fit the wound optimally for small or large animals
